Cookies
What TrustValet stores in your browser, and why. We use only cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you ask for, so we do not show a cookie banner. Last updated 28 Sep 2026.
1. The cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Set when | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| tv_session | Keeps you signed in to your account | You sign in | 30 days, or until you sign out |
The cookie is first-party, can be read only by our server (HttpOnly), is sent only over secure connections, and contains a random token, not your email address or any other personal detail.
2. Cookies set by Stripe when you pay
The payment form on the payment page is provided by Stripe. When you open that page, Stripe may set its own cookies to process the payment securely and to prevent fraud, for example:
| Name | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| __stripe_mid | Fraud prevention | 1 year |
| __stripe_sid | Fraud prevention | 30 minutes |
These cookies are set only on the payment page and are strictly necessary to take a payment. Stripe explains its cookies at stripe.com/cookie-settings.
3. What we do not use
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, social media pixels or any tool that tracks you across other websites. Our visitor statistics (Plausible, hosted by us) work without cookies and without storing anything in your browser. We do not store anything else in your browser's local storage.
4. Why there is no cookie banner
The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations require consent for cookies unless they are strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for. Every cookie described here meets that test: one keeps you signed in, the others make a payment you started possible. If we ever add a cookie that needs consent, we will ask first and update this page.
5. Controlling cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. The register works without them; you only need the session cookie to sign in, and Stripe's cookies to pay.
